Building Designers Association of Australia is an apex body for Building Designers Association in the Australian region. It is recognised as a leader on different issues that affect the built environments and building industries of Australia. Building Designers Association of Australia has strength of 1400 members who on an average design and document building works that values upto $7 million per annum. This is approximately equal to 40 percent of all building works in Australia.
The requirements of Building Designers Association of Australia vary slightly from one state to other. The applications for membership have to satisfy the State Membership committee about the fact that they are competent designers. The committee judges the members on different criteria such as competency of a member, educational qualifications and experience.
The members of Building Designers Association of Australia have to comply with the strict codes of ethical and professional standards mentioned by the association. These members are encouraged to go through Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Building Designers Association of Australia works with the aim to be recognised as one of the leading professional design forces in the Australian building industry.
