Boral Bricks tips and tools for the trade

Boral Bricks' web service

Boral Bricks  has launched a comprehensive web resource for architects, building designers and builders on its entire collection of natural clay bricks.

The web service features fast and effective tools including a brick product selector, calculators and downloadable CAD swatches for new levels of realisation and accuracy in presentation of project concepts.

Eddy Maini, Boral Bricks’ national marketing manager, said there is a challenge to ease the task of specifying, with the ever-increasing range of building materials brought to market.

“With increasingly shorter turn-around times for design projects, we believe it’s vital that state-by-state product detail on range, colour and durability grade availability as well as technical specifications can be accessed online as-and-when they’re needed,” Eddy says.

He added that users can even change the mortar colour on their selected brick swatch, to better visualise its dramatic effect on the overall appearance.

Boral’s free samples service, Chip Express, can also be accessed on the site for express delivery of actual brick colours and textures.

“Natural clay brick is unrivalled in long-term strength, colour, acoustic and temperature performance and is virtually maintenance-free. That’s better for everyone,” said Eddy.

“We hope this service will help anyone thinking about specifying or working with Boral bricks to learn more about the product benefits, as well as gain the practical information required – from web site through to building site,” Eddy said.
