LIFTING SERVICES

Managed Lifting Solutions: 
This service encompasses the provision of qualified personnel to assess and program the lifts (including job safety analysis), co-ordinate all relevant parties including job safety analysis (JSA), local governments, main roads departments, transport police and environmental issues. 

Contractual Maintenance Arrangements: 
BOOM designs scheduled lifting programs for maximum efficiency and minimum down time for client shutdowns and turnarounds. BOOM also provides a twenty-four hour, seven day a week (24/7) emergency lifting service and advisory capacity to major clients. 


Crane Integration for High Rise Construction: 
BOOM’s engineering personnel are involved at the initial stages of high rise development in relation to placement and design of buildings for tower cranes. BOOM’s skills in this area allows maximum utilisation of tower cranes for high rise development sites, decreasing costs and time delays during construction. 

Engineering Services and Maintenance: 
BOOM is a leader in the management and maintenance of cranes on rigs and oil/gas platforms throughout Australia. BOOM’s service offering includes auditing of lifting equipment and the provision of high level fabrication services. 

Equipment Hire: 
BOOM hires equipment in three key areas. Tower cranes are provided on a Dry Hire basis and associated with them is the provision of tower sections. The Company also provides mobile crane hire on a Wet and Dry basis. The Wet Hire basis involves the crane driver and fuel provided directly by BOOM. The Dry Hire basis involves BOOM making the hardware available to the customer (which provides its own driver and fuel), with clients typically looking to fulfil small lift requirements under long term contracts. 

HIGHLY TRAINED WORKFORCE CONSISTS OF:

Operators 
Qualified and experienced operators are provided with for all mobile cranes on a Wet Hire basis. 

Riggers and Dogmen 
Experienced riggers and dogmen are provided for lifts with mobile cranes and the erection, dismantling and climbing of tower cranes. 

Mechanics, Fitters and Fabricators 
BOOM has a competent mechanical staff for major maintenance of mobile cranes at the Welshpool and Braeside bases and operates mobile repair services to cranes on location and at sub-bases. Its fabrication workshops have boilermakers and fitters who provide all the maintenance requirements of the tower cranes and are able to repair structural components of our mobile fleet. 

Supervisors 
BOOM has trained supervisors and contracted engineers (specialising in computer aided design (CAD) lift studies) to provide solutions and management of specialised lifts. These personnel also provide design of tower crane placement on high rise construction sites.
