Models of bronze from Bodo & Robyn Muche Bronze Sculptures
Bodo & Robyn Muche Bronze Sculptures is a company setup by Bodo Muche to supply models made from clay or wax. Robyn who is an artist and naturalist also takes care of the studio’s communications. In Bodo Muche studio and foundry the different wax or clay forms are modelled, signed, numbered and foundry marked.
Bodo & Robyn Muche Bronze Sculptures makes a miniature model design before the large sculpture. Then the model is cast in bronze and lost wax method is used to cast it in bronze. After the finishing of the model the sculpture may be mounted or installed as an exterior or interior feature.
Whenever the limit of a unique sculpture is produced, the mould of the original form is destroyed. The lost wax casting method used by Bodo & Robyn Muche Bronze Sculptures transforms a wax model into bronze. The artist has wide scope of retaining fluidity and the complete refined detail. The process is ideal for large hollow bronze sculptures that are cast in various pieces. The process has already been adapted to produce small solid objects.
Boulder Opal, an exquisite gem, is often incorporated into the composition of bronzes in the Bodo Muche Anglers' & Mariners' Collection to reflect the brilliant colours of sea and shimmering flashing of some blue water species. The bases given to these collections could be stone or wood. Large sculptures are installed securely, exterior or interior.
