One of the best facilities of its kind, Wadham Park in Queensland, a facility for training thoroughbred racehorses, feature state-of-the-art design and top quality fittings including a 75m long lap pool - the Aquawalker - used as a hydrospa for the horses.
Constructed in steel by Queensland Shed Market, the facility’s structures have been built entirely from Lysaght products, including C-sections, standard wall cladding, horizontal cladding, guttering, downpipe and fascia products as well as steel stud, plate and noggin.
“The design of the complex was really enhanced by the Lysaght materials,” says Jade Umstad, marketing manager of Queensland Shed Market. “It looks just fantastic - the whole complex is really a showcase for every type of Lysaght product. We’ve even had a number of enquiries from people who have just driven past the site and seen the buildings.”
BHP Steel Lysaght has supplied over 8000sq m of steel to the project. Products used for the roofs and walls include Custom Orb along with Trimdek, Trimwall, Easyclad and Multiline, all made from Colorbond steel.
It’s easy to see why Queensland Shed Market deals exclusively in Lysaght products. As Umstad says: “The huge range of products that BHP Steel Lysaght has on offer allows us to supply a combination of over 5000 different types of Class 10 buildings alone.”
Umstad is also impressed with the company’s approach to customer service. “No project is ever without its problems,” she says. “However, a project of this nature could not have been carried out successfully without BHP Steel Lysaght. Their sales representative has had a hug influence on the way things have turned out - he has been just as involved in the project as we have. It’s quite clear that he really feels a part of it, and it’s refreshing to work with people like that!”
