Barrier Security Products have released bollard protection sleeves, which offer a quick, simple and economical way to recondition old rusted, faded or scratched bollards.
This new product minimises the need of bollards to be repaired or re-painted again and for a fraction of the cost of replacement, the old bollards can be rejuvenated.
The new modular bollard protection sleeves and caps from Barrier Security Products fit any standard 90mm or 140mm bollards. The sleeve and caps are manufactured from a super tough, high tech polyethylene with a solid colour that would not rust, chip, crack or fade.
The firm fitting interconnecting modules are secured in place by the fixed cap. The 90mm module covers 225mm in length and the 140mm covers 300mm in length. Each module is supplied with a class 1 self adhesive reflective band for increased night visibility and safety.
The modules can be fitted in single colour or alternating colours for additional safety awareness. Colours include yellow, red, black and white. Corporate colours can be supplied with minimum quantities required.
Business Development Manager John Watts said that the new bollard protection sleeves have applications in almost any warehouse, car park or factory where bollards are often seen scratched or damaged. These sleeves make the bollards safer especially in food handling plants where bollards cannot be painted for health reasons.
