Autodesk has launched Revit, a new building design and documentation system that can help firms reduce the time taken to prepare development application documents from three weeks to five days.
Autodesk Revit helps design professionals move to building information modelling - the next step in model-based design - which is about creating dynamic building databases that support iterative change in a building’s design, construction and operation.
Building information modelling solutions create and operate on digital databases for collaboration, manage change throughout those databases so that a change to any part of the database is coordinated in all other parts, and capture and preserve information for reuse by additional industry-specific applications.
