For a third inspiring year, Australia’s well-known interior and soft furnishings Trade Fair, Decoration + Design Sydney, organised by Australian Exhibitions & Conferences , returns to the Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.
Following the success of the 2008 exhibition, Decoration + Design Sydney will bring together soft furnishing and interior suppliers from around Australia and the world.
New releases on show at Decoration + Design Sydney will include fabrics, soft furnishings, decorative art and homeware, lamps and lighting, bed linen, rugs, cushions and indoors/outdoors furniture from exhibitors including Hermon & Hermon, La Maison, Seeger Gallery and Town & Country Style.
As well as the regular exhibitors, the show will be joined by newcomer Diane Bergeron Interiors, exclusively launching 11 fabric collections from the USA, with furniture and home accessories available in each line. Collections include Michelle Adams’ highly coveted Rubie Green line, in addition to lines by John Robshaw, Madeline Weinrib and Lulu Dk.
Rubie Green creator, Michelle Adams will also speak at the International Industry Seminar Series. Michelle Adams honed her aesthetic as Market Editor at the well-known American interiors magazine domino, before leaving in 2007 to start Rubie Green, which enables her to combine her passions for design and sustainability by producing eco-friendly textiles in classic prints.
Another supplier making their debut at the 2009 Fair will be Karman Grech Designs, displaying reproductions of vintage wallpapers and fabrics. Also skilled at creating bespoke new designs according to a theme or era, Karman Grech Designs are available for commissions and have recently completed projects at the 3 Weeds Hotel, Rozelle, Kaviar boutique in the Queen Victoria Building and the Allawah Hotel, Kogarah.
Decoration + Design Sydney will feature Eco Luxury, challenging six acclaimed designers to layout and furnish environments using sustainable products. 2009 will take last year’s Environmentally Sustainable theme to the next level, as participants are asked to create sustainable environments for the luxury market.
Eco Luxury environments must not only do good but look and feel good, requiring minimal maintenance and enabling people to live ‘green’ without compromising on style.

Decoration + Design Sydney is co-located with the Australian International Furniture Fair at the Sydney Exhibition Centre.
