Furnitex 2005, Australasia’s largest furniture and furnishings Trade Fair, will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, 14-17 July 2005 and will preview the very best furniture and furnishings trends Australia has to offer in 2005.

Furnitex 2005 features more than 500 Australian manufacturers, wholesalers and designers over a huge 35,000 square metres. Presented by the Furnishing Industry Association of Australia (FIAA), the Fair promises to attract more than 17,000 Australian and international trade visitors over its spectacular four day program.

Central to the Furnitex line up is the hotly contested design and innovation competition, VIVID – Vibrant Visions in Design. Now in its third year, VIVID provides an unequalled opportunity for the industry’s brightest up-and-coming stars, as well as Australia’s most respected designers, to showcase their latest designs utilising the very latest materials and technology.

To discover what all the best dressed interiors will be wearing this year, head along to the Trend Pavilion at the heart of the popular Decoration + Design Fair, Australasia's most comprehensive soft furnishings and interiors Trade Fair, which co-locates with Furnitex again this year. Featuring all the trends that are set to dominate Australian living environments, Decoration + Design offers visitors the chance to preview the hottest fabrics, soft furnishings, rugs, lights, decorative accessories, objets d’art and homewares all under one roof.

Also to be launched exclusively at Decoration + Design is the Trend ToolBox, an invaluable tool for interior designers, retailers and manufacturers featuring colour forecasts, emerging product finishes, future fabric and industry themes that will effect the industry in the 2005/2006 season. The Trend ToolBox will only be available at Decoration + Design.
