accepted as a member of the Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and
Environments (GAATES), the leading international not-for-profit organisation that
encourages disable access.
The new membership and inclusion on to the international consultants register will
allow Australian Disabled Access Consultants to support the global alliance’s work to
promote a greater understanding and implementation of disabled access.
The Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and
Environments (GAATES) work focuses on the following areas:
Australian Disabled Access Consultants will also promote the
Guiding Principles of the United Nations Convention
and campaign for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by developing
and delivering knowledge about disabled access and its fundamental part
of the sustainable environment.
