Australian Disabled Access Consultants prepared and successfully negotiated approval to a development application by Global-Mark Pty Ltd for the expansion of its national headquarters.
Headquartered at 34 Delhi Road, Macquarie Park, Global-Mark Pty Ltd is an international licensing and certification consultancy service. The company required additional office space to accommodate its growing national office headquarters with design elements incorporating disabled access and wheelchair access facilities within and around the premises in terms of:
- Continuous paths of travel into the building and within the carparking area at the front of the building’s entry doorways
- Building and suite entry doorways
- Wheelchair access
- Doorway widths and corridor widths
- Toilet facilities
- Floor-ceiling heights along all movement pathways
- Kitchen design layout and furniture fit-out
- Assess the existing building and conditions of the premises
- Arrange building layout drawing by Interiors by KT
- Prepare the disability access assessments report for compliance with the guiding principles of the Disabilities Discrimination Act, Ryde Development Control Plan 2010, the Disabilities Access to Premises Standards 2010, Part D3 of the Building Code of Australia 2011, and Australian Standards AS1428.-2009
- Prepare the statement of environmental effects
- Prepare the Disability Access Report
- Prepare the Waste Management Plan
- Complete the DA forms and arrange the property owner’s DA consent
- Prepare copies of all documents for DA lodgement
- Lodged the DA with Ryde Council
- Arrange site inspections by Ryde Council’s Town Planners
- Negotiate the DA approval with Ryde Council staff
