Ausco Modular has recently supplied additional work force accommodation at the Olympic Dam site in South Australia.
BHP Billiton required accommodation to support expansion and sit alongside insitu staff quarters located in the township of Roxby Downs.
Ausco Modular's modular solution provided a good solution by providing additional accommodation with the flexibility to expand and reduce as requirements changed in the future.
Ausco Modular provided 56 upmarket staff quarters. Each room was over standard size with Hardiplank external cladding and plasterboard internal lining.
In addition to the additional specifications externally, internally the rooms are also above standard. Each room is carpeted and accessorised with a full size desk, split system air conditioning, bar fridges, TV’s, kettles, DVD players and single seater sofas.
The new rooms were well received, as they are of high standard among the village accommodation available for Olympic Dam mine workers.
