A hardware store in Las Condes, Santiago Chile has recently installed vertical garden systems from Atlantis Water Management .
The owners of the hardware store wanted to liven up the appearance of their multi-level car park so that it was more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Atlantis Water Management assisted the owners of the hardware store throughout the entire installation process. They supplied the vertical garden systems and advised on structural design.
According to Atlantis, this project proved to be quite the challenge as the vertical wall systems had to be mounted on every level of the car park with structural considerations.
Over 10,000 plants were used in the project, and 359 square metres of the Atlantis Gro-Wall was installed around the multi-level parking.
The Atlantis Gro-Wall featured individual plant irrigation and individual plant installation. These two features ensure that the walls are easy to maintain.
The vertical garden systems have added a sense of greenery to the hardware store, and the overall appearance of the building has been enhanced. The car park has been transformed into a green oasis, and is an eye-catching focal point.
The project was completed in June 2011.
