Atlantis Water Management infiltration tank
Atlantis Water Management infiltration tank

The infiltration tank system from Atlantis Water Management is an ideal way to manage storm water run off in permeable or semi permeable soil conditions.

The water collection system is designed to capture surface water through soil infiltration, and then clean and filter the water before it is recharged to the water table providing moisture for surrounding vegetation.

Impermeable liners are not used in the installation of the tank system so water is not retained. When the storm water run-off passes through the Atlantis Ecological Tank or Channel System the surface infiltrate is filtered and purified by a specially designed Atlantis Flo Grid porous paver, with the installation's sand layer contributing to this process.

Atlantis infiltration tank system's performance supplants outdated aggregate trenches. The Atlantis system provides a void space of over 90% compared to less than 20% in typical aggregate trenches. Likewise the Atlantis system renders a smaller terrain overhaul to achieve the same storage capacity as an aggregate trench. This saves time and money in installation and civil works costs.

The lightweight design of the Atlantis ecological tanks also make installation safer and cheaper. No sediment build up occurs in the Atlantis system as opposed to the clogging that is characteristic of aggregate based approaches. With a minimal ecological footprint, the Atlantis infiltration tank solution emulates the natural water cycle and delivers clean water to aquifers and waterways protecting terrestrial and aquatic environments .
