Atlantis Water Management has been appointed NSW distributor for Buzon pedestals by Pasco Construction Solutions Pty Ltd.

The award-winning Buzon pedestals are a Belgian innovation and designed to facilitate the construction of raised floors in external constructions such as balconies, terraces or green roofs.

External structures such as balconies, terraces and roof tops are often prone to leaks. Quite frequently, the only way to detect the source of the leak is by removing the permanently laid tiles or pavers.

In addition to being an expensive proposition, additional damage can be caused to the waterproofing membrane on the surface making it virtually impossible to discover the source of the leak.

Buzon pedestals enable the construction of raised floors in conjunction with any type of paver or timber decking.

When there is a leak, all that needs to be done is remove the pavers or timber decking and inspect the waterproofing membrane underneath for the source of the leak.

Once the membrane has been repaired and the leak addressed, the pavers or timber decking can be reinstated with minimal effort and without damage.

Buzon pedestals are made from high strength, UV-resistant, recycled polypropylene and are each capable of supporting over 1,000kg each.

Height adjustability in the 17mm - 850mm range allows unsightly plumbing and electrical lines to be concealed under the floor.

A key benefit of the innovation is the patented slope-correcting device, which compensates for a substrate fall of up to 5 per cent, achieving a perfectly level floor finish.

Interchangeable spacer tabs allow for gaps of 2mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm or 10mm gaps between pavers, providing positive drainage and allowing for external as well as internal floor finishes to be on level.

Additionally, the pedestals also reduce sound transmission and increase the thermal insulation of roofs.
