The next Art Gilding Academy’s Master Gilding Course is due to commence May 18th with only two spots available. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to broaden their skills. This gilding course is ideal for individuals within the design industry, art and antique lovers, artists, framers, painters and decorative artists.

The Gilding Master Class is an intensive fully-certified 2-week course that combines the very popular Professional Gilding Course and the Advanced Creative Gilding Course. The Gilding Master Class covers all the various elements of gilding and will make students professional gilders. This class teaches students gilding skills similar to those in lengthy three-year apprenticeships. The course brings great benefits for framers and painters and anyone in the art, crafts and interior design industry.

“We often get enquiries from individuals who are interested in the Master Gilding Course whether there is any work available in this field and my answer is yes. The Art Gilding Academy continues with the Master Gilding Course because there is so much demand to restore historic objects and architecture or give that luxurious lustre that only gold can to upper-scale commercial projects. We would not continue offering this successful course unless we were certain that our students would benefit from adding this unique skill to their portfolio.” says Brigitte Eggert, the Managing Director of Art Gilding Studio.

“This is our chance to keep this ancient art alive and to train the next generation of master gilders. Metallic finishes such as gold and silver are increasingly specified in high-scale projects with some being restoration of state and heritage buildings and ultra modern design projects, so adding gilding as a skill to a designer’s portfolio will be an invaluable asset.” says Eggert.

On completion of the Master Gilding Class, the Art Gilding Academy offers students a Lifetime Membership to the Goldfinger Club, and a discount on all gilding tools and materials. The Goldfinger Club Membership also offers students unlimited advice and support.

“The lifelong Membership to the Goldfinger Club is something that only our gilding academy has available. Similar courses don’t have such a back-up or support system once the course is complete. We realise the challenge of being on your own and working on something new, so our support to past students is important to both us and them. We are there for our students until they don’t need us…or want us anymore. In short, the Master Gilding Course gives students: hands-on experience, skills and support.” says Eggert.

Master gilder, Karl Eggert, who learned the art of church restoration and framing in Germany, is sharing his skills and knowledge with students who want to broaden their horizons. With over 45 years of experience in gilding and an extensive portfolio of renowned commercial projects such as The Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, this master gilder shows keen students the almost infinite creations of gilding.

The next class commences Monday 18th May and there are still two spots available. Interested individual should contact the Art Gilding Academy as soon as possible because these vacancies will soon be filled.
