Jalousie Australia has released the latest technological advance in louvre windows through its Queensland distributor, Eziform Windows . Designed for changing environmental requirements, the new Jalousie provides built-in security, fully concealed automation with sensor activation and the ability to support airconditioning and internal flyscreening.
Comprising aluminium frames and louvre support structures, the louvres can be manufactured from aluminium, glass or with timber. Brush seals on all four sides of the louvre frame provide the outward opening top hung louvre with a complete seal. Using a lever or handle type operator that locks in up to four positions ensures the user optimum ventilation in all weather conditions. The louvre support bars which hold the blades provide complete security – even if the glass is broken the window remains secure.
An electronic control can operate Jalousie louvres, eliminating manual operation. The system can be linked to a central building control panel to be automatically opened when fire alarm systems are activated. Other sensors will close the louvres during rain or excessive winds. For aesthetic reasons, motors are hidden within the frames.
