Ambro is well-known for its timber flooring products with its product range including 180mm wide mega board. Ambro applies a keen environmental awareness when creating its timber flooring products. Floor boards from Ambro consist of two types, Alpha and Mega.
Ambro uses Cypress pine wood to produce Alpha floor boards, while Bean timber is used for producing Mega boards. The company uses timbers such as Spotted Gum, Blackbutt Premium, Blackbutt Feature, Sydney Blue or Rose Gum, Messmate, Southern Maple, Tasmanian Oak and Brush box to produce both Alpha and Mega floor boards.
Mega boards are extra wide boards that feature a single, full width face of solid timber and use the cross ply technology. A thicker base layer ensures stability with an overall thickness of 17 mm. the Alpha floorboards are traditional 130 mm wide single strip floor boards, with European structural design standards.
