Allplastics introduces decorative composite panels to perspex range
Allplastics Engineering in Sydney has successfully incorporated renowned, Austrian-designed Blizzard composite panels in a number of prestigious fit-outs in Australia over the last nine months.
One of the most exciting projects completed was the AAPT fit-out on four levels in the World Square project in the centre of Sydney on behalf of Telco Asset Management. Designed by HBO + EMTB architects, Allplastics fabricated four different colours on each level in the kitchen and meeting areas, giving each level a distinct and spectacular presence.
Launched at Designex in Melbourne, the Blizzard range is available in a range of finishes including clear, translucent colours, frost (satinised) as well as scratch proof and anti-slip surfaces, all with a strong translucent honeycomb core.
According to Allplastics sales manager Vic Kalloghlian, "the decorative panels offer a unique combination of features which were not available in Australia".
These include excellent stiffness, compressed strength, reduced weight, exclusive optical features, easy handling and processing, outstanding service temperature deformation resistance, UV resistance and sound absorption.
Some of the applications for Blizzard include exhibition booths, shop design, stage settings, interior design, illuminated advertising, point of sale displays, window dressing, shelving, decorative items, lighting diffusers, illuminated ceilings, furniture, partitions, sliding doors and balustrades.
In addition to the Blizzard range Allplastics stock and fabricate a wide range of Thermoplastic sheets and tough Polycarbonate sheets including Perspex Frost, and Acryform slumped acrylic.
