Specialist advice the key
Domestic air conditioning system buyers are missing out on the expert advice that will give them more efficient and economic home climate control, according to Airwell .
“Electrical retailers and bulk stores by their very nature rarely have the ability to give expert advice on the best system for their customers’ applications because they offer such a wide and varied range of products and are not specialists in the field of air conditioning,” says Kevin James, the company’s national sales and marketing manager.
“An example of the misinformation in the market is the reference to ‘horsepower’. We often hear of homeowners being told that a ‘2.5hp’ unit will be the right size for any room. The fact is that ‘horsepower’ is meaningless jargon in terms of cooling capacity. It has no basis in reality when it comes to correctly sizing an air conditioning system for the home.”
James says the above is a reason for consumers to consider Airwell systems which are only available through a specialist dealer network. Made in Europe the company’s commercial air conditioners have been available in Australia for some time and have now been joined by a residential range. Features include the ‘I Feel’ electronic control system that can be used to operate the air conditioning unit conventionally or to actually move the position of the ultimate comfort zone around the room; in built ionisers that generate a stream of negative ions to balance the positive ions, restoring equilibrium to the environment and a ‘Real Time Clock’ that can be set to start and/or stop the air conditioner at a particular time of day.
A recent addition to the Airflow portfolio is the Multiflow flush fitting split system that can be installed at almost any height on a wall or even in the corner of the room.
Airwell split systems in Australia consist of wall mounted, console and cassette models and fully ducted systems.
