A new offering from Acryloc Building Products is the ‘Roofcote Supa Cool’ series of paints for roof coatings. ‘Roofcote Supa Cool’ from Acryloc Building Products is an insulating and heat reflecting coating which comes in a wide range of colours.
Acryloc Building Products reports that dark colours (which are currently in vogue for roof coatings), need not necessarily be heat inducing or heat trapping colours. The ‘Roofcote Supa Cool’ coatings reportedly contain special pigments that reflect heat from the sun. ‘Roofcote Supa Cool’ also contains insulating ceramic spheres, thus reducing roof surface temperature, as compared to a roof with standard coating.
Acryloc Building Products recommends that the roof be mended and prepared for coating, using its ‘Mould Rid’ surface preparation. Next, the chosen shade of ‘Roofcote Supa Cool’ from Acryloc Building Products is applied in two coats. The ‘Thermicoat’ for insulating and the ‘Reflectacoat’ for heat reflecting. Acryloc Building Products has tested its ‘Roofcote Supa Cool’ with three 450 watt infra red lamps in its own test rig, with excellent results.
