Abet debuts four new collections
Italian company Abet Laminati was the first to give laminates identity through colour. At DesignEx, Abet , the company’s Australian subsidiary, is debuting four new collections, that reflect research into the effect of texture and light reflectance on colour. They are Smoky, Vitaminic, Organic and Glossy.
Smoky is an elegant range of colours muted colours with the fine lined texture of Microline - tonalities dampened in tight webbing; Vitaminic’s bright, vibrant colours are wrought in Millerighe2, a highly graphic ribbing that gives added depth; Organic with its Grana2 texture, a dense weave that is almost like a vegetable fibre, comes in autumnal tones while Glossy’s Lucida has a smooth, luminous and almost mirror-like surface. The lustre of gloss in this collection makes its colours both stark yet muted. Colours in the Glossy Lucida collection range from dark geys and browns through to sorbet yellows and lilacs and the softest blues, silver, greys and mushrooms.
