Noble & Son appointed distributor for JDT ENORM Grade 100 lifting chain systems
A Noble & Son (Nobles) has been appointed the exclusive Australian distributor for the JDT ENORM Grade 100 lifting chain systems and lifting and lashing points. This product range is manufactured by J. D. Theile (JDT) GmbH & Co. KG of Schwerte, Germany.
The Enorm range is a true grade 100 chain system and as such has a good strength to weight ratio with a lifting capacity approximately 25% higher on a size for size basis than standard Grade T chain slings. Enorm Grade 100 chain has been tested in harsh underground mining environments and has good resistance to abrasion.
The Enorm range is available in sizes 6 – 22mm with chain sling lifting capacities to 33.5 tonne.
Key advantages of the Enorm system are:
- No chain connectors, the chain leg connection points are integral in the master links
- Fewer parts to make up a chain sling
- In-line shorteners can be placed at any point along the sling leg
- Variety of master links to suit various size crane hooks
- DNV type approval for offshore sling sets
The Enorm range will be available from all Nobles branches.

The distribution agreement takes effect from the 1st of December, 2007.
