ion battery for the first time in the industry.
Available at Masters Home Improvements & Trade Tools, EGO’s 56-volt
cordless outdoor power equipment offers powerful alternatives to conventional
petrol powered lawn and garden products with the new
line consisting of the EGO POWER+ mower, EGO POWER+ blower, EGO POWER+ line trimmer,
and EGO POWER+ hedge trimmer.
Delivering 40 percent more power than 36-volt options, the new EGO range
gives consumers the convenience of cordless with the performance previously
found only in petrol powered equipment.
An industry-first, EGO’s 56-volt power is significant as until now, no
lithium-ion battery powered lawn and garden product has been able to deliver more
than 40 volts, ensuring that there is no compromise in the torque and
performance of the equipment, unlike conventional rechargeable lawn mowers and
other outdoor power equipment.
In addition to lower running costs at approximately one tenth that of petrol-powered
equivalents, EGO’s new line also boasts of reduced noise and vibration, while
the total absence of operating emissions is a compelling environmental argument
in favour of the equipment.
According to EGO National Business Manager Barry Crowhurst, consumers
are familiar with cordless outdoor power equipment but many of the rechargeable lawn
and garden products have not met performance expectations.
EGO’s new range of outdoor power equipment is backed by 10 years of
development, and is designed to exceed expectations. Barry explains that EGO’s 56-volt
POWER+ cordless outdoor power equipment is capable of matching or surpassing the
performance of petrol powered machines without any of the noise, fuss or fumes.
EGO engineers also overcame the voltage barrier by developing new technology
for a battery and charger combination that allows the equipment to deliver more
power and superior performance in a cordless design.
Feature highlights of the new EGO POWER+ System include
a 56-volt lithium-ion battery offering 40 percent more power than the leading
36-volt battery; battery removable and interchangeable with all EGO tools; optional
rapid charger with a charge time of just 30 minutes from zero to full charge; Keep
Cool battery technology protecting every cell in the battery pack, keeping the cells
cool, even in the most extreme conditions; battery pack’s unique arc design
allowing battery cells to breathe easier, protecting them from overheating; and
power management system featuring state-of-the-art electronics integrated into
the battery pack and the charger to protect the battery during use and
charging.
