Parramatta is seeing a strong demand from home buyers, especially for apartment projects with close proximity to both green spaces and parklands.

The strong demand has encouraged Sydney-based property developer Crown Group to release additional apartments for sale at its $309 million V by Crown residential development in Parramatta ahead of schedule this month.

The 519-apartment V by Crown is located less than a kilometre from three major local landmarks – the national-heritage listed Parramatta Park, Westfield Shopping Centre Parramatta and Parramatta train station. More than 335 apartments have been sold at the prestigious project since its launch in 2012.

Crown Group Director of Sales and Marketing Adam Sparkes explains that home buyers prioritised luxury facilities when searching for an apartment but were also particular about close proximity and access to green spaces.

According to Mr Sparkes, property buyers are realising they can have it all from resort-style facilities and the low maintenance lifestyle of a luxury apartment to easy access to parklands and connection with the outdoors, equivalent to what they might have from a property with its own backyard.

The Crown project’s close proximity to Parramatta Park is a real drawcard for buyers, as are the two communal landscaped garden areas accessible to residents and guests. Additionally, Parramatta’s public transport links, high-quality schools and universities, entertainment and shopping options and proximity to Westmead Hospital also drew property buyers to the project.

Parramatta was named NSW’s Most Liveable Suburb in the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s ‘Building Up’ report released this year.

Often called Parramatta’s Vertical Village, V by Crown will feature a pool, gym, sauna, conference facilities, music room, theatrette, a library and a ground level retail and restaurant precinct.

The striking tower was designed by Allen Jack + Cottier Architects with interiors designed by Japanese-Australian architect Koichi Takada. Living spaces range from studio apartments to three-bedroom apartments. V by Crown is expected to be complete in 2016.
